Ahead of starting a string of dates with Aussie peers Dune Rats, punk duo DZ Deathrays have gifted us a new single to whet our appetites. Entitled 'Pollyanna', the new track is true to the raucous wall of sounds that we've come to expect from the pair. The jagged guitar edges are perfectly loud and the shouty vocals only add further spiky attitude. It's full throttle and full of clanging calls and answers that bounce off each other throughout. It's a short amuse bouche at just under three minutes but there is no need for anymore in our opinion. 'Pollyanna' has us riled up in all the right ways - roll on November when they play two nights at both Moth Club and The Shacklewell Arms amongst other UK dates. - SJ
